Ordering a Cake

Not only was my cake beautifully made but it was exquitsite! Soft to the palate, the buttercream was amazing and not extremely sweet and the dulce de leche... that was perfection! Everybody loved it! This was a great first experience with Luna Sweets and I would highly recommend it.

Luna Sweets specializes in the confection of custom cakes made exclusively for your special event. 

We limit the number of events we reserve each weekend and book on a first come, first serve basis. We recommend clients place their orders as soon as they confirm the date of their event.   

For weddings we recommend at least 4-6 months in advanced or once venue, theme and florals are confirmed. For celebration cakes is recommended at least 3-6 weeks in advance (subject to availability).

Once you have selected a date for your event we ask that you fill out our contact form as soon as possible. Our initial consultation will take place via email or phone. Once we have covered the basics we will set up a tasting appointment at our studio where we will discuss your event details, flavor options, budget and design ideas.


If you love what we can offer, we’ll move forward with a contract outlining the cake order details. We require a signed copy and 50% deposit to confirm the booking. We will then send a detailed cake sketch personalized just for you, encompassing our consultation ideas for your consideration and approval.

Four weeks prior to your wedding date, or two weeks for celebration cakes, the remaining 50% deposit is due. Based on your contract, we will confirm delivery or pick up time. 

For pick up orders we recommend that cakes be transported on a flat surface in your vehicle. Thank you for inviting us to be a part of your celebration and we look forward to crafting something beautiful!

Consultation and Tasting

Design and flavor options are finalized during your tasting, where you will choose four flavors to sample. A 40.00* tasting fee will be collected prior to your appointment. All design and pricing details are confirmed via email. Once approved a signed contract and 50% deposit is required to save the date. Please note that your order will not be confirmed until the deposit is paid.

It’s important that you bring some inspirational ideas of your own for your overall vision of your entire event (style board, colors, textures/patterns, florals, fashion, invitation, etc) so that we can customize a design based directly on your wedding details. Sometimes the smallest detail can inspire the entire cake design!

Photos of cakes are also helpful and are used for inspiration, but we do not copy an existing cake decorator or designer. We prefer to present original designs. We work individually with each client to create a unique and delicious works of art for that memorable celebration.
