5 Book to Read if You’re a Business Owner

5 – Start with Why by Simon Sinek

This book talks about how leaders inspire people to take action. If you apply this book to your business, it can help you attract loyal customers. It can also help you create a company culture and have a greater impact on the world.

4 – The Entrepreneur Rollercoaster by Darren Hardy

I read this book so fast it took me just a couple of days. This book will mentally prepare you for the downside of entrepreneurship; fears, doubts, self-defeating thoughts. Also, it will inspire you with the best, thrilling things about being in business on your own and teach you essential skills to be successful in your journey.

3 – The 1 Page Marketing Plan by Allan Dib

This book has a lot on actionable steps to help you create your own marketing and be able to close sales, get new clients, up-sell existing ones, how to charge top dollar for your goods, and many more tips. When I read this book I immediately wrote up my own 1 page plan and put it into motion.

2 – Build an A Team. Play to their Strengths and Lead them Up the Learning Curve by Whitney Johnson

This book explains understandably what happens mentally to employees. I could relate to this as a former employee and now as a manager myself. It gives such a clear perspective as to what it is to cultivate people’s potential, how to deal with employees and how to hire the right people for your team.

1 – Profit First – Mike Michalowicz

This book changed my entrepreneurship life by switching my mindset to paying myself FIRST! It provides concepts to apply to your business by giving you structure and discipline when it comes to your finances.  Michalowicz has developed a behavioral approach to accounting to flip the formula: Sales - Profit = Expenses. If you only read one book from this list, let it be this one. You will thank me!
